Hey there! My name is Steffi. I am a 24 year old girl from San Diego, CA. My blog is an outlet for me to share my love for the art of makeup, fashion, beauty and just a little bit of everything else that I enjoy in my life. I have an irrational fear of wasting a good outfit on an insignificant day. Follow @stefffles |
I’m still a newbie myself but there are a few different things that have helped me along the way…
1. Follow makeup and beauty blogs - There are so many out there and for me it wasn’t hard to find ones that were really helpful and honest. I’ve even made a few friends along the way :)
2. Don’t be afraid to ask questions - With as many different products out there today it’s hard to know which ones will work better than others. I used to be really confused about a lot of different things. I had no clue how to use concealer, lipstick, eyebrow kits, etc. As well as certain things about hair care and skin care. There is always someone out there that is more than willing to answer your questions and help.
3. Watch YouTube Makeup tutorials - I’ve been fortunate enough to stumble upon people that make great How To videos and reviews. I subscribe to their channel and I get emails letting me know when they’ve posted new videos so I don’t miss out anything.
4. Experiment - If you’re bored and you don’t really anything to do take out your makeup and just try new things. This is what I do when I’m trying to figure out how well colors work together.
5. Have Fun! - Makeup shouldn’t be something that you “need” to wear. It’s meant to accentuate the features you already have, to stand out. I don’t think that anyone should ever feel that they need to wear makeup to look beautiful.
Challenge completed :)
Day 49: Picture of yourself with and without wearing makeup.
I don’t celebrate Halloween anymore but the last time that I did, I was Princess Jasmine. I’ve been told since I was in the 7th grade that I look like her, so it was great to dress up as her.
I got this costume at a small shop in Pacific Beach, CA. I forgot the name of it.

Creating the look wasn’t very difficult. I just googled a pic of Princess Jasmine and copied what I saw onto my own face. I put on more foundation than usual and a lot of bronzer cause I’m not as tan as she is, haha. The biggest part was putting on A LOT of eyeliner and winging it out after I put on a little bit of gold eyeshadow. Then I finished with a bright red lipstick.

and here’s the final result:

Sorry the pic quality isn’t that great… I tried.

Some products change depending on the occasion, but just for everyday use I bring these items.
CVS, they have almost every beauty and makeup product available in drugstores. Although, if I’m looking for something that Target/ Walmart carries, I’ll get it there instead cause their prices are so much cheaper than drugstore prices.
No way! I buy a few things here and there, and almost everything is from the drugstore. I actually haven’t gotten anything in awhile! I feel comfortable with everything I have at the moment.
I really like to use cream liner, even though I only have one eyeliner brush and I have to clean it every time I use it. I’m a big fan of the new cream liners that elf has.

The Natural eye makeup look that is mostly used during the day. This includes neutral colors, skin tone eye shadows, and makeup done to a minimum. On a daily basis I prefer to have natural looking beautiful eyes without drawing attention to them.
No, but I think it would be fun.
Mascara ;)
NARS Blush in Orgasm

Haha, no…
elf’s Tickled Pink blush, it’s the one I use the most.
Duh!! I LOVE nail polish :)

I keep the products that I use the most on top of my Vanity. My foundation, powder, brushes, blush, eyeliner, mascara, the lip butters I use the most, etc.

Then I keep the stuff that doesn’t fit on top of my Vanity in drawers underneath my table.

Since my Naked Palettes don’t fit inside my drawers I keep them on top, next to my box of makeup remover towelettes.

In the first drawer, I have my elf blushes and gel liners, L’oreal Infallible eyshadows and my Urban Decay Ammo eyeshadow palette. In the second, I have all my Maybelline Cream Tattoos and the shadow applicators I use to apply them.

In the third drawer, I have all my lipsticks and lip butters. The fourth drawer has all my 8 pan Wet N’ Wild palettes, the baked palettes with the eyeliner pencils that came with them, a few single eyeshadows and my NYX glitter palette. The fifth drawer has all my Wet N’ Wild Trios and the last drawer has all my extra lip glosses and faux lashes.
